Watershed Management Group (WMG) Living Lab & Learning Center

This office, demonstration site, and educational center features a landscape and food forest watered solely with harvested rainwater, stormwater, greywater, and air conditioning condensate. The site’s potable drinking water is supplied entirely by roof runoff captured in a 10,000-gallon below-ground cistern.

Additionally, the site features permitted site-built compost toilets (WMG sells kits, and offers classes, for the barrel-style composting toilets) you can use, greywater-harvesting outdoor shower & washing machine, solar oven, chickens, and bilingual educational signage.

This organization also provides many classes and hands-on workshops on harvesting the rain and other free, on-site waters; including free 3-hour courses required for the City of Tucson $1,000 greywater harvesting rebate and the $2,000 rainwater harvesting rebate.
