Part of National Day on Climate Action, this event will consist of a 100% solar powered outdoor concert showcasing local talent, as well as speakers and educational displays by local schools, community organizations and green businesses. It is a fun and informative event calling upon Congress to take decisive action on global warming: 80% cuts in carbon emissions by 2050. The event also focuses on how we can get there with substantive steps taken to reduce emissions at the federal, state, city, and ultimately, individual level.

In doing this, we hope to inform Tucsonans about local organizations, businesses and schools that are helping to create a more sustainable environment with the goal of inspiring grassroots mobilization and active participation from community members and to have some fun while we’re at it!
