Join Watershed Management Group (WMG), a Tucson-based nonprofit organization, for an advanced Watershed Technical Training in Green Infrastructure (GI) from January 20-22, 2011.  This training, the only one of its kind in the Southwest region, offers professionals, teachers, and community activists a chance to advance their knowledge of green infrastructure in an experiential, workshop-based setting.  Topics will include site assessment, planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of GI projects.  To register, please visit watershedmg.org/tech-trainings and download the full course announcement and application.  Early registration deadline is November 22, 2010; regular registration deadline is December 20, 2010.
This training will launch WMG’s new Watershed Technical Trainings program, which aims to advance comprehensive knowledge and skills in topics such as green infrastructure, water harvesting, eco-sanitation, and watershed restoration.  Additional trainings taking place in spring of 2011 will focus on the topics of Advanced Cisterns and Advanced Greywater techniques (for updates about these upcoming events, please visit watershedmg.org/tech-trainings).  For more information on the Watershed Technical Trainings program, contact Tory Syracuse at tsyracuse@watershedmg.org or 520-396-3266.
